BitWall Privacy Policy

BitWall, Inc. (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Company”) knows that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously.  This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we protect and handle the personal information that you provide to us and that we obtain through our website or our Services (as defined in our Terms of Service). You acknowledge that you accept the practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of your personal information that we gather through the Services.

Consent to transfer personal data.

BitWall and our Services are hosted and operated in the United States. Your personal data will therefore be transferred to, and processed in, the United States where the privacy laws may not provide an equivalent level of protection to those in your home country. By using the Services, and providing us with any personal data, you consent to the transfer of your information to, and processing in, the United States.

What personal information does BitWall collect about you?

We collect information from you in various ways when you use the Services. For example, we collect information: (i) that you voluntarily provide to us (such as when you send us an email); (ii) that you allow us to access, including information from third parties; and (iii) about you that is publicly available.

The information we collect may include:

We may also collect some information automatically, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your operating system, the browser type, the address of a referring website, and your activity with the Services. We may also automatically collect certain logistical information in server logs, including information about how you use various features of the Services and information about the number, frequency and length of each session.

We may also automatically collect certain information through the use of "cookies." Cookies are small data files stored on your hard drive at the request of a website. Among other things, cookies help us improve the Services and your experience. If we link cookies to any personally identifying information, we will treat this information as personal information. If you wish to block, erase, or be warned of cookies, please refer to your browser manufacturer to learn about these functions. However, if you choose to remove or reject cookies, this could affect certain features or services made available via the Services.

We may use Web beacons or similar technology on the Services. Web beacons are small, invisible graphic images that may be used by the Services or in emails relating to the Services to collect certain information and monitor user activity on the Services, such as to count visits, understand usage effectiveness and to tell if an email has been opened and acted upon.

How we use your personal information?

We do not use or disclose your personal information except as described in this Policy. In support of these uses, we may use or share your personal information:

We may use your email address to communicate with you relating to your interaction with the Services. We will not use your email to send you marketing messages unless you have opted-in to receive such messages.

We may access and/or disclose your personal information if we believe such action is necessary to: (a) comply with the law or legal process served on us; (b) protect and defend our rights or property (including the enforcement of our agreements); or, (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety and welfare of BitWall users, our gaming application users, or members of the public. Personal information collected via the Services is stored and processed in the United States.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Therefore, we request that children under the age of 13 not use the Services nor submit any personal information through it. Since information regarding children under the age of 13 is not collected, we do not knowingly use or distribute personal information regarding children under the age of 13. If we obtain actual knowledge that our Services has collected personal information about a child under the age of 13, that information will be immediately deleted from our database.

How do we secure and protect your personal information?

We are committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of commercially reasonable security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. For example, we store the personal information that you provide to us on computer servers with limited access and are located in controlled facilities. We restrict access to personal information to our employees, contractors, and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, or improve our services.
